The distinction was awarded by Mexico’s President, Felipe Calderon, who highlighted the efforts of his nation to become a more modern and competitive country. The Instituto para el Fomento a la Calidad Total (Institute for the Promotion of Overall Quality), the organization that evaluates the performance of public and private entities, selected Moon Palace as the resort that complies with the high standards set by the Institute.
